About Jane Yeomans

I have been an Educational Psychologist since 1993 and before that was a teacher. I am a director of J&M Yeomans Limited. Our company provides independent educational psychology services, with an emphasis on Dynamic Assessment (DA) in addition to a range of generic Educational Psychology services (such as assessment, consultation, therapy and training). I offer training for psychology services in DA, as well as using this approach in school based work and with individual clients. I am an accredited practitioner for LPAD (Learning Propensity Assessment Device, for Dynamic Assessment practice), Instrumental Enrichment (a cognitive education programme) and Bright Start (a cognitive curriculum for young children. I also offer therapeutic work with children and young people. I am a Drawing and Talking practitioner. I also offer cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing. I am am Associate member of PATOSS and offer diagnostic dyslexia/SpLD assessments. I am currently a member of STEC (SpLD Test Evaluation Committee). I have undertaken accredited training in supervision. I am on the BPS Register of Qualifications in Test Use (RQTU), which affirms my competence in selecting, administering, scoring and interpreting psychological tests. I also work for Real Training as assistant programme director, module leader and tutor for the Master of Education programme in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (MEdSEND). I continue to hold an honorary post at the University of Birmingham after several years working as an Academic and Professional Tutor and Teaching Fellow. I provide input for trainee Educational Psychologists about Dynamic Assessment and Applied Behaviour Analysis.
