About Janell Cross

I am an Operations Manager at Bridge 2 Hope STL, a nonprofit organization that supports and empowers parents and guardians of school age children to advocate for equitable and quality education. Our vision is to ensure that all children are reading at grade level by 2040. In this role, I lead a team of staff and volunteers who provide resources, training, and coaching to our clients and partners. I oversee the daily operations of the organization, including HR, performance review, onboarding, and recruiting. I also manage the customer relationship management (CRM) system, using EveryAction/Bonterra to track and analyze the needs, goals, and outcomes of our clients and partners. I leverage my CRM expertise to optimize our processes, workflows, and data quality, and to generate insights and reports that inform our strategy and decision making.I have over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, where I developed excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills. I am passionate about creating a positive and inclusive culture, where everyone can bring their whole self to work and feel seen and heard. I value trust, integrity, and empathy, and I strive to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders. I am always eager to learn new skills and take on new challenges, and I enjoy traveling, reading, and volunteering in my spare time.
