Janell Kaplan, a board-certified and state-licensed nutritionist, is the heart-centered founder of Janell Kaplan Nutrition — a nutrition clinic serving the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, and Florida. Janell is on a mission to empower cancer survivors with cardiometabolic disease to live longer, healthier lives. As a long-time cancer survivor herself, Janell delivers expert clinical care with the empathy and heart of a cancer survivor.Holding a Master of Science in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport, a Bachelor of Science in Sports and Health Sciences, and a Diploma in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, Janell possesses a diverse educational background. Her commitment to lifelong learning has led her to complete advanced training with the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM) and specialized training with the American Institute of Integrative Oncology (AIIO). As a Society for Integrative Oncology (SIO) member, Janell stays informed on the latest research and practices in her field.Janell is a Board-Certified Nutrition Specialist® (BCNS®), a Maryland State Licensed Dietician-Nutritionist (LDN), and qualified to practice Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) in DC, MD, VA, FL, and other jurisdictions. Furthermore, she is a board-certified and state-licensed Massage Therapist and Bodyworker, adding another dimension to her holistic approach to health and wellness.Dedicated to helping people live longer, healthier lives, Janell has created a signature system rooted in functional medicine and nutrition-focused cardio-oncology to guide her clients on their healing journey.
