About Janell Richardson

Driven to provide improved solutions in the pre-clinical space by leveraging innovative technologies and partnerships to accelerate drug discovery. Whether as a post-doc, an in vivo scientist, or as a global R&D point, I have led a multitude of cross-functional projects from small (should we invest) to large (commercialization) with varying degrees of success. I have experience from ideation to opportunity evaluation and (if appropriate) recommendation to commercialization. Experience with CROs, subject matter experts, partners, consulting agencies, stage-gate process, project management software, business case authorship, and cost center financials are part of my day to day. Additionally, I am the point of contact for scientific advisory board engagement and high-level business/scientific partnership presentations. I have 7 years in the biotech field, 3 directly in drug discovery (early, pre-IND), 2 providing direct field customer engagement (CRM experience) and 2 in a combination of scientific and business development roles within industry. I look to utilize my scientific background and my developing business skill set to identify opportunities and prioritize in a transparent and engaging atmosphere. As cross-functional team lead of multiple parallel projects spanning the globe it requires daily vigilance, accountability, drive and passion. To provide meaningful solutions to the preclinical space that could enhance validity is my underlying purpose.
