About Janelle McFarlane

Janelle leverages over 20 years of experience at the intersection of education, professional development and counseling reaching well over at-risk youth and their families. As an educational leader for several Philadelphia School District and charter schools, she cultivated the spirit of excellence so that students could maximize their academic, social and emotional potential. In addition to that, she held the position as the program director for an arts organization in Philadelphia, bringing the organization’s mission to life in schools, communities of faith and neighborhood organizations. She also managed to assist in the procurement of a quarter of a million dollars in 21st Century skill building for an institution specializing in arts and academia in Chester,PA. This was acquired through data collection, analysis anf proposal writing. Janelle holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Services Counseling from Old Dominion University (Norfolk, VA), a master’s degree in education from Arcadia University (Philadelphia,PA), a graduate certificate in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University (Lynchburg,VA) and intends to finish pursuing her doctorate in Marriage and Family counseling.
