About Janene Borandi

Janene Borandi, L.Ac, DAC, received her Master of Acupuncture degree from the Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH) in 2014 and completed her Doctor of Acupuncture (DAc) degree from Pacific College of Health Sciences in August of 2020. Prior to becoming an acupuncturist, Janene worked as an IT Specialist for the National Institutes of Health, and the Social Security Administration. During her 15 years in public service she served a wide variety of needs ranging from software programming to strategic planning. During this time, she earned her Project Management Professional and Federal Acquisition Certification for Program and Project Managers, and collaborated with specialists across multiple state and federal agencies on matters pertaining to the design and execution of public health programs. Immediately following her graduation from MUIH in 2014, Janene began treating veterans at the VA Medical Center in Washington, DC in the Integrative Health and Wellness department, and the War Related Illness and Injury Study Center. Upon moving to St. George Utah in 2016, Janene was elected to serve on the Utah Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Board as Vice President. She also provided acupuncture services at the Southern Utah Veteran’s Home. Janene owns and operates her own private acupuncture practice where she delivers acupuncture and Asian Bodywork therapies, and teaches the Fundamentals of East Asian Medicine as an adjunct professor at Rocky Vista University. Janene holds the following licenses and certifications: · Diplomate of Acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine · Licensed Acupuncturist through the Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing and Colorado Division of Regulator Agencies · Acupuncture Facial Rejuvenation Specialist · Clean Needle Technique by the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM) · Acu Detox Specialist Certificate - issued by the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) · Project Management Professional (PMP #1249881 expired) and Federal Acquisition Certification for Program and Project Managers (FAC/P-PM) Janene loves teaching people about acupuncture and is passionate about helping her clients understand what nutritional and lifestyle changes might be right for them. Janene believes an interdisciplinary approach to care offers the best possible outcome for everyone, and she takes a lot of pride and joy in her work.
