About Janet Ahmadzai

To reach this point I have accomplished what I need to grow as an educator and be a part of your school. I have worked with students from a diverse background such as the neurodiverse community, an ethnically diverse community, and a range of the socioeconomic community as well. I have currently been given the opportunity to work at REACH Leadership STEAM Academy as a teacher. I find myself captivated by student led discussions and project based learning activities. My prior knowledge in child development gave me the understanding on how valuable hands-on curriculum is to a student’s learning. My teaching philosophy includes tapping into students’ funds of knowledge, challenging my students during lessons, peer discourse, and whole-brain teaching. My background working with a Special Needs Attorney has given me the ability to work with families of neurodiverse students and gain a deeper understanding of their perspectives. I enjoy working with children and watching them grow into the individuals they are meant to be. I took my first early child development course at Chaffey Community College during a summer break. It was from that day a fire was ignited in which I found my passion in what I want to do for the rest of my life. Teaching children is a passion of mine that I will continue to do for as long as I am capable.
