Formerly, worked as a clinical case manager at FHN Family Counseling Center. This position included mental health assessments and provided support and guidance to clients in a state of acute mental health crisis; playing a vital role in helping individuals who are at imminent risk of harming themselves or others. Additionally, worked as a representative payee for the social security department to assist participants budget, provide peer support and improve lives. Worked as the ACA Regional Program Manager for Northwest IL (Affordable Care Act), serving seven counties: Carroll, DeKalb, Jo Daviess, Lee, Ogle, Stephenson and Whiteside. Assisting in the shape and implementation of the Affordable Care Act for the area to promote preventative healthcare for all is her main directive. Communication, marketing and policy adaptation are all key to creating a successful program. Interchangeable hats and working with the public are tools that are best utilized. Formerly served on the Poverty Workforce Group and the Workforce Development Coalition Established relationships with agencies and business are key to success. Prior to working as the Workforce Investment Board worked in the Wind Industry as a consultant for Acciona Energy NA doing contracts and assisting with events for the second phase of EcoGrove. Also, worked with EcoEnergy as a Wind Associate, with responsibility for PR and Marketing, land owner issues, special events, and working with media to enhance the wind park image.
