As a Command spouse I provide advocacy and support for military spouses and families. I continue to work with and support the Military & Family Readiness Centers located on the three installations across Joint Base San Antonio. I Connect military spouses to the Nationally available resources of Five and Thrive Initiative (fiveandthrive.org) as well as Local resources available in the San Antonio, Texas area. I am the 'spouse voice in the room' by participating in meetings across JBSA and the local community that touch on any of the Five Pillars of the Five and Thrive Initiative: Housing, ChildCare, HealthCare, Education, Spouse Employment. I mentor younger spouses and provide encouragement and support for spouse-led projects in the local community.
