About Janet Farley

Professionally, I am and have always been passionate about helping others transition successfully from one job or life stage to the next using straightforward career and life coaching expertise. I have 20+ years of employment industry related experience where I have held both managerial and support roles within the Department of Defense, private industry, the non-profit world and in higher education. Currently, I teach career planning courses at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs within the College of Business and I coach clients (my own and those of international outplacement service) to better resumes, cover letters and job search skills. I am also an advocate for military spouses and their families through the National Military Spouse Network and the Colorado Springs Military Spouse Career Coalition. I volunteer as a mentor for American Corporate Partners. My areas of expertise include content development; resume writing; teaching, program management; career coaching; leadership; community advocacy; creative thought; and workforce development. Things in life that make me happy include my veteran, my daughters, Maple the Golden, all things art, international travel, and words because they can do so much good if you let them.
