About Janet Lamoree

Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant, specializing in Amputee Rehab/Prosthetic Training. I am in my 28th year of therapy/rehab; 8+ years primarily amputee rehab. I am interested in continued growth and knowledge of prosthetics to better serve those who have suffered limb loss. I attend in-services and clinics to learn how each component functions, so I can better serve my patients. I have been trained by Bob Gailey, and have adopted his methods. We also perform functional level assessments, in accordance to Medicare guidelines. With Medicare focusing on the prosthetic companies (RAC Audits), I have developed an interest in assisting my colleagues. I have comprised a Functional Level Assessment "package" that satisfies MC documentation guidelines for prosthetics. The physicians and prosthetists with whom I work, like the fact we make their job easier, by handling all the paperwork and performing assessments. Afterall, that is what physical therapy is about: assessing functionality and establishing goals to achieve the highest level of function possible. I am interested in building relationships with prosthetists; connecting them with PT's, to provide prosthetic training for their patients, as well as perform functional level assessments. I continue to work as an independent contractor. I enjoy meeting new people and working in a variety of rehab environments. Feel free to contact me if a need arises.
