An experienced solution-oriented health leader with years of experience in transforming and integrating clinical care through the adoption of innovative evidence-based practices, streamlining business processes and successfully redesigning care models in the hospital, primary care and community sectors. A system thinker, that can support care integration across departments and sectors by collaborating and engaging service providers, clinicians, physicians and health care leaders through project management and quality improvement methodologies. Able to seek unique solutions to complex challenges given a natural curiosity, scientific inquiry and authentic dialogue with staff and leaders. A keen understanding of professional practice scopes and legislation enabled the creation and adoption of population-based medical directives, pre-printed order sets, and certifications to expand the scope of practice of dietitians and nurses. Negotiated and established insulin pump contracts with third party companies to enable a revenue stream to expand the interdisciplinary team to include a kinesiologist. Multiple positions held providing direct working experiences with the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care and Ontario Health in the management of funding and reporting contracts, system planning, and delivery improvements. A passionate advocate for the adoption of digital health opportunities to improve efficiency and ensure timely access to patient information to support clinical decision making at the point of care and improve the patient experience. The first to adopt the e-Referral platform for regional diabetes referrals, creating new referral pathways, procedures and processes that would act as a blueprinting to inform the onboarding of other services like mental health and addictions. Led the way in creating and adopting email and virtual care procedures and technologies which was later spread to the remainder of the hospital during COVID-19. As an early adopter of the scheduling and clinical documentation of the EMR platform in the ambulatory area, requested to lead the implementation of the new Meditech Expanse scheduling module across the three hospital sites. Collaborated across multiple hospital departments compromising clinical managers, IT consultants, finance, data analysts and MIS reporting leads in the creation of policies and procedures to standardized location codes, appointment types, and ensure data reporting integrity to the Ministry of Health.
