About Janet Ocallaghan

Currently undertaking a postgraduate diploma in Data Science (Ireland NFQ level 9) with The Data Science Institute to enhance my data analysis and technical skills particularly in areas like machine learning, statistical modelling and data visualisation. Balancing this alongside work demonstrates my commitment to continuous learning and professional growth. In November 2020 I began my career as a Process Engineer at Intel Ireland. Here, I am responsible for optimising manufacturing processes, utilising data-driven approaches to improve efficiency and troubleshoot issues. My role involves statistical analysis, data visualization, and cross-functional collaboration to implement new processes. In September 2020 I completed my masters in Medical Physics at NUI Galway. I achieved a first class honours, and the highest overall mark in my class. I was also awarded the highest mark for my MSc thesis in my year. In 2018 I completed my undergraduate in Physics with Medical Physics and Bioengineering at Technological University Dublin (formerly Dublin Institute of Technology). Here, I achieved the highest marked final year research project in my class and second highest in my year.
