About Janet Sauer

Sauer believes advocacy for the inclusion of people with disabilities in community and educational contexts is a social justice issue and is necessary for a healthy democracy. She is currently collaborating with outreach organizations for culturally and linguistically diverse families of children with disabilities. Her recent publications include Affirming Disability, one of the Disability, Culture & Equity series by Teachers College Press, and chapters in Ellen A.
