About Janet Suarez

I am an enthusiastic Artist, with an MFA in painting, and experienced Art Educator with excellent communication and leadership skills. As a collaborative cross-functional team player I thrive in an art community environment, working with artist of all ages. I have exhibited in regional, national and international exhibitions. My art work is in private and public collections from South Florida to Nova Scotia. Experience includes teaching art to children, teens and adults in the public, private, and non-profit settings. Additional experience includes organizing, collaborating, or participating in many community art events. Events include; Atlanta Artist Center - Plein air painting at the Lost Corner Preserve, Kennesaw’s Smith-Gilbert Garden’s Art in Bloom, Evening of the Arts at Georgia Southern University as well as The Eagle Nation on Parade program, and Arts Fest all at Georgia Southern University. Past events also include participation in the Glynn Visual Art's, Plein Air Affair, Art in the Garden fundraiser for The High Museum of Art, Smith-Gilbert Gardens, and Cobb County’s 175th Celebration for the Arts. Currently, I am exploring and available for new and challenging opportunities in the field of art and art education.
