About Janette Morrison

A passionate and highly motivated English as a Second Language facilitator with 6+ years of experience in both private and college institutions. A Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Waterloo coupled with certifications in TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language) from George Brown College and Adult Education from Sheridan College gives me the academic background needed to teach the four main skills of the English language; reading, writing, listening and speaking, using creative and innovative teaching strategies. In addition to my abilities as a facilitator of the English language, my previous experience in the Insurance industry and in Merchandising and Marketing make me sensitive to the nuances of the job search and to industries outside the academic field. Experience in customer service and the art of communication, both written and verbal, allows me to connect with my students on both a personal and professional level.
