About Janice Cross

I have always loved working with people. I enjoyed nursing for several years before an accident forced me to switch careers. A natural "helper", I earned a degree in social work, followed by a master's degree in social work a few years later. An area of interest that emerged during my Master's program is clinical supervision, for which I have earned certificates through the Justice Institute of BC and Wilfrid Laurier in Ontario. Another area of interest includes program development. I have researched and developed curriculum for Philanthropy for delivery to children and youth at various developmental stages; a comprehensive, 12-session marriage preparation course; a 10-session coaching program through life transitions; contributed to the ongoing development of a family education program; created a parenting program for Indigenous men returning to their community after recovery; and stress management.
