About Janice Dolan

My varied career experiences provide me a wide array of employment knowledge, whether working in human resources, consulting business professionals, advising students, or exploring new career options for those looking to begin anew! Understanding the strengths of the people I work with helps me to build a strong team of diversity where everyone can contribute to the success of the project. I am a self-proclaimed Microsoft Excel Geek who uses that tool to measure success and manage change. I am interested in leading change through Organizational Leadership & Organizational Management, Organizational Learning & Development. I have supervised others, worked in Lean Manufacturing, and led Continuous Improvement projects. I have managed a Learning Management System, have experience in recruiting, working in a union environment, instructing environmental, health, and safety in a manufacturing facility. I have experience with unemployment insurance that has provided great success as an HR professional when faced with unemployment hearings and adjudications, although my preference is to develop employee coaching and counseling processes that lead to successful outcomes for the agency and the employee. I value the opportunity I have had to lead Great River HR Association, an affiliate of SHRM that provides networking, professional development, and recertification credits at most of our meetings.
