About Janice Larson

I have over 35 years of manufacturing finance experience in both corporate and plant manufacturing environments. In my current position as Sr. Manager of Cost Accounting for Exactech, I am actively involved in the month end close regarding the areas of COGS and Inventory on a global basis. I am responsible for cost accounting areas including standard cost roll, BOM’s & routers, direct and indirect labor, machine burden and overhead rates and absorption, product cost development, work order variances and non-standard COGS variances. I have been involved in major project work involving a QAD system upgrade, integrating an acquired manufacturing plant as well as new global office startups. I started my career a a cost accountant in the baking industry for Thomas's English Muffins. I held several positions of increasing responsibility in various locations over the years. In my last position I was responsible for the accounting departments in 3 Southeast plants with financial staff of 16, including 3 plant controllers. I was involved in major project work that generated substantial company savings for plant closures, production line realignment between plants, copacker startups as well as a third party distribution center.
