About Janice Miller
For over 30 years, I have worked to end intimate partner and sexual violence by focusing on housing and stability building programs. I created the Safe Homes Strong Communitues rapid rehousing program at House of Ruth Maryland, which was recently found to reduce both future violence and future housing instability (Decker, et.al. AJPH 2022). I am interested in systems change and policy to create more safe, affordable housing; in helping victim service providers work together with their local homeless services systems to ensure access and increase their capacity to provide housing; and helping homeless service systems address trauma. currently Chair of the Baltimore City Continuum of Care Board.
