About Janice Murphy

A life-long fan of singers, songwriting, and story-telling from the great American songbook. My interests extend into cabaret, jazz, show-tunes and other contemporary music. I am currently a regularly featured radio host on WOMR/WFMR FM, 92.1 & 91.3 Cape Cod. My show, This Time Around, was the first local on-air program of its kind serving the Lower Cape communities. My on-air and online audiences continue to expand, making live requests from as far away as Europe.I also produced/incepted two live cabaret series featuring both well-known and emerging artists. Known for creative direction in extending the value of local live performances with on-air interviews and content, I love to discover and feature new artists who keep alive our great American musical heritage. When not on the air, I am likely to be found at a club or theater in Boston or New York in search of new material to feature on my show. Whether or not you’ve heard This Time Around before, my deep knowledge of the genre makes you feel like you’re hearing something special for the first time.I encourage you to contact me at djjanicemurphy@gmail.com
