About Janice Simpson

I am a Registered Nurse with ER and ICU background,almost 20 years of experience in the hospital setting and a reputation for success.I am also Clinical operations administrator (COA), where I ensure the hospital is running smoothly and resolve clinical issues as they arise.My interest lies in the public health sector. I have extensive experience in leadership and management as I have been Clinical Operations Administrator in charge of the hospital, guiding, leading, coaching Nurses and other members of the health care team, resolving issues in the hospital and managing staffing to ensure smooth running of the hospital. I have also been team lead/Charge Nurse for almost 20 years, supervising Registered Nurses(R.N’s), Licensed practical Nurses(L.P.N’s),Certified nurse assistants(C.N.A’s) and Patient service associate(PSA’s).I have also been a preceptor for new staff members coaching them into adapting into their new position. As a Registered Nurse my focus was always to prevent and promote health by educating and encouraging patients which has a direct impact on decreasing morbidity and mortality. I am interested in utilizing my skills in Public health and as a Registered nurse to help draft, create policies for the general public, ensuring that the most vulnerable in society will have access to health care and other basic resources to lead a meaningful and healthy life. I am currently a nurse leader serving as Charge nurse, Preceptor, Resource Nurse in ICU and also Resource Nurse for the medical surgical floors.Identifying and assisting with patients who are rapidly deteriorating and may need CPR.
