About Janis McCarriher

Real success, whether in business or life, is impossible without hard work and trust. Sound cliché? Perhaps. But in my experience, it's the most fundamental qualities that make all the difference. My long-standing career in the commercial construction industry can be attributed to not only my focus on innovation and creating new opportunities for business, but also my genuine approach to working with clients as well as members of my own team. I bring people together by placing emphasis on listening and communicating — a leadership style that comes naturally and creates a safe environment for growth and, ultimately, smart business solutions. At Kalmia Construction, we promote those same values to foster lasting relationships with our clients. Our commercial renovation and build-out work speaks for itself, but our ability to really hear our clients and deliver services customized to their needs is what's led to our status as a "Preferred Contractor" in the Washington, D.C. area. We deliver — and the true measure of our success is exhibited by the number of multiple projects that we are awarded by past customers. As a member of the Kalmia leadership team, I focus on improving communication and building relationships every day. This, paired with my business background and ability to understand problems, strategize a solution, organize teams, and get the work done quickly, drives success for both Kalmia and our clients.
