About Janis Rex

I received my MBA in 2007 and moved into the Hotel Management field working for John Q. Hammond Hotels as a Procurement Manager. In this role, I oversaw all procurement needs for 35 hotels. One of my accomplishment was creating and implementing a computer based purchasing system that was complex. Additionally, I traveled to all the hotel locations to set up the systems, develop and communicate the policies and procedures of the new software, train all staff, offering customer service to the staff on an ongoing basis. Also, I negotiated contracts to get the best possible deal possible while utilizing analytical skills and knowledge of finance and accounting. Currently I am a Special Project Manager This process includes the initiation, planning, execution, control and completion of the project. Success is achieved by my hotel knowledge as well as my communication, problem solving and time management skills.
