About Janna Olynick

Who am I? I am an experienced data analyst and (former) research associate, with a demonstrated history of working as an Analyst in the healthcare industry with various EMR databases and in the area of child and family services. My work experience is in data analysis, data governance, database administration and training, advanced analytics (e.g, predictive and simulation modeling), data visualization, and reporting. What is my current job? As the Data Analytics & Reporting Supervisor, I am responsible for supporting data-driven decision making within CSFS and leading a data analyst team. Our team provides valuable insights by analyzing data, helping CSFS understand trends, patterns, and opportunities to support strategic planning and operational improvements. We also ensure data practices comply with regulations and that sensitive client information is protected, while leveraging data to enhance organizational performance and tracking progress on achieving our strategic objectives. What brings me joy? When not at work, I can usually be found at home with my nose in a good book, or outside in nature (camping, kayaking, or snowshoeing). I also love to travel and it won't take much convincing for me to be on board for a concert, beach vacation, or trip to any destination that has good food, scenic views, and lots of history!
