About Janne Mertala

My professional dream is to support people from all social and cultural backgrounds in finding their best possible place in (working) life. My passion is providing high quality and result oriented individual counselling, both short and long term processes. I'm also committed to co-create organisational structures and communities which support well-being in work and studies. I'm an experienced counsellor,(career) coach and teacher. When beneficial, I approach situations from inclusion and special education support angle. I have experience in the higher education industry since 2009 and also some background in the secondary level education. My special field of interest has always been different aspects of internationalisation. After special education teacher and neuropsychiatric coach qualifications, my work started to focus more in support of diverse learners and inclusion related topics in the field of counselling. I've been told to have excellent skills in counselling and coaching,(intercultural) communication,(language) teaching and international relations.
