About Janne Simonen

With over 25 years of experience in photonics, I am a seasoned, R&D Engineer and. I have a strong background in optics, lasers,(AR/VR) and teaching, as well as the fabrication, characterization and numerical modeling of nanophotonic components. Currently, I'm Senior R&D Engineer at Modulight. I design, assemble and test complex semiconductor laser systems for biomedical applications. I've gone deeper into Zemax simulations and operate state-of-the art optical assembly equipment. I managed a team of 15 optical engineers at OptoFidelity, a global leader in for AR/VR devices. Having started as an, during my OptoFidelity career I was involved in all phases of the projects, from technical sales and concepting to assembly, calibration, characterization, testing, delivery, and support. I therefore have a deep understanding of how to create complex custom metrology systems from point of view. In addition, I have authored over 20 international scientific journal publications in the fields of.
