About Janne Wallenius

I am an experienced biotechnologist with a dedication to microbial production workflows, metabolism, and analytical biochemistry. I have accumulated over 10 years of experience in biotechnology. In recent years, I have been employed in the R&D department at Roal Oy, where my responsibilities included setting up automated screening and analytical methods, as well as contributing to Trichoderma platform development. My passion for bioanalytics, especially LC-MS/MS, is evident. During a two-year postdoc at the Institute for Molecular Medicine Finland (FIMM), I worked in the metabolomics analysis service unit, a dedicated LC-MS/MS lab. In this role, I developed LC-MS/MS analysis methods for metabolites and a flux analysis framework. I am a solution-driven and persistent worker with intrinsic motivation. Troubleshooting is second nature to me. I possess a broad set of skills within the biotechnology field, supported by a multidisciplinary engineering study background that covers biosciences, materials and chemical sciences, organic chemistry, and statistics/bioinformatics. Currently, I am seeking new challenges in Finland (particularly in the capital area), in China (especially the Zhengzhou-Kaifeng metropolitan area), Ireland or in Germany. I am also open to part-time opportunities that can be carried out remotely.
