About Jarad Harper

I have a 25 years of combined local and federal law enforcement experience with a TS/SCI security clearance. I have been a Field Training Officer/Agent, Detective, and Supervisory Special Agent with the opportunity testifying as an expert witness in federal court on current drug trafficking trends and distribution methods. I currently have 6 years supervisory experience as a federal agent with DEA managing and overseeing local, state, and federal officers working longterm conspiracy and interdiction cases, as well as 3 1/2 years supervisory experience managing a Special Response Team executing high risk search warrants and arrest operations. For the last 9 months as a Supervisory Special Agent, I developed and assisted in the implementation of basic and advanced Cyber Training with the support of the Office of Training and the Cyber Support Section (SCC). In December 2019, I was promoted to the Deputy Section Chief within the SCC at DEA HQ’s; the program areas I supervise in support of investigators in the field include Cyber Training, Research/Seizure/Equipment and Policy/Legal/Liaison. In May of 2021, I received a lateral promotion to the Assistant Special Agent in Charge supervising daily administrative and drug enforcement operations at the Little Rock District Office, Fayetteville Resident Office and the Fort Smith Post of Duty.
