About Jarad Kleinberg

I attended SCAD from 2005-2009 where I earned my BFA in Film and Television Production. I used what I learned at SCAD to land a position at Walt Disney Company, where I spent the year working as a video and lighting tech. I worked with the backstage video team to help record VIP events, grand openings of restaurants and attractions, and with the lighting team to build stages and set up props at the parks and resorts. In 2010 I moved to the west coast where I assisted Todd Dos Reis on the film set of Entourage, and shot behind the scenes video for Porsche and Kicker Audio while simultaneously being an assistant at Stan Evans Photography. As a photography assistant, I worked on numerous photo and video shoots for Red Bull, shot videos of Olympic snowboarder Louie Vito, and photoshoots for fashion and beauty brands. During this time, I created my own production company called MadKats Productions, where I provided video, photography, and graphic design services to a variety of athlete & lifestyle clients from 2010 to 2018. Currently, I’m the Director of Operations at my families corporate interior design firm, MKDA. My eagerness to see how I could impact my family business and help lead us to be more competitive is what drove me back to New York in 2011. I started out assisting with new marketing initiatives and worked my way into a more operational role. My current directorial role within the company allows me to have my hands in a number of different components. My primary objective is making sure that our office is running optimally and that all employees have the support they need to produce their best work, working with the marketing team to figure out new ways to stay competitive in the marketplace, and attending events to network and bring in new business. I look forward to growing our firm into the next generation and am focused on helping MKDA stay on top of the competition as one of the most respected and well-known design firms.
