About Jarava Thomas

As an Accounting Services Coordinator at South Louisiana Community College (SLCC) since March 2023, I manage the accounting functions for the college's various departments and programs. I have over six years of experience in corporate accounting, accounts payable and receivable, bookkeeping, and working for health care and senior living organizations. I have an Associate of Science degree in Health Care Administration from Rasmussen University and an Associate of Arts degree in Accounting and Business Management from University of Phoenix. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in General Studies from Southern New Hampshire University, expected to graduate in May 2024. My core competencies include financial reporting, budgeting, auditing, compliance, and reconciliation. I am passionate about providing quality accounting services that support the mission and vision of SLCC, as well as the educational and professional goals of its students and staff. I value collaboration, integrity, and innovation, and I strive to bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the accounting team.
