About Jared Bobor

Aspiring Geotechnical Engineer with an interest in mining and tailings management. At WSP Golder, I have had the opportunity to contribute to nearly all facets of the mine tailings management process. In the design and feasibility phases, I have assisted with tailings deposition planning, stability analysis of tailings dams, filter compatibility, geotechnical data interpretation, as well as performing qualitative/quantitative construction estimates. I have gained extensive field experience conducting geotechnical investigations as well as construction supervision and quality assurance for a variety of projects related to both active and inactive mine tailings management. For mines in the closure or care and maintenance phases, I have assisted with tailings facility capping design and estimation, stability analysis and remediation of existing earth dam structures, and created public disclosure document summaries in conformance with ICMM guidelines for historic mine tailings facilities. During my co-op placements with the City of Brantford, the City of Hamilton, and Development Engineering London, I have acquired additional experience in municipal infrastructure planning, permitting, and stormwater management design.
