About Jared Brown

I am a seasoned nonprofit professional with a strong passion for leadership, innovation, and making a positive impact in the world. I obtained my bachelor's degree in philosophy from Georgia Southern University, with a minor in business administration. My journey in the nonprofit sector began in 2004 when I started as a leader at summer camps for kids, youth, and youth pastors at Student Life. Subsequently, I joined Compassion International, an organization dedicated to releasing children from poverty in Jesus' name, where I held various roles such as Manager of Event Relations, Director of Collegiate Strategies, Principal Product Manager, and New Generations Global Lead in the Global Marketing and Brand Experience team. Growing up in a military home and frequently relocating every three years has taught me valuable skills in adapting to new surroundings and has nurtured my love for travel. Together with my incredible wife, Sarah, who serves in the United States Air Force, we have had the opportunity to visit over 20 countries for both work and vacation. We also enjoy exploring different parts of the country with our camper, engaging in activities like paddle boarding, and discovering delightful local restaurants, all while accompanied by our beloved pup, Redd. In addition to our love for travel, we have also developed a passion for fitness and both hold Level 1 CrossFit certifications. We used to run a gym out of our garage, where we found joy in helping people improve their health and wellness. My faith in Jesus, love for my wife, my commitment to being an awesome dog dad to Redd, and my desire to be an exceptional neighbor are the most important things in my life.
