About Jared Disher

Jared Disher is masterful at managing complex programs with diverse stakeholders. In his current role, he supports students at they engage in learning experiences related to 8th grade science TEKS. Previously, Jared managed a team whose role is to support districts in implementing Great Minds products. He worked to build team capacity through professional development and coaching. Jared supported strategic initiatives and company-wide training. Jared is an exemplary educator with almost 20 years of experience, including seven years in campus, district, and regional leadership. He is an expert in building relationships, delivery of professional learning, project management, and fiscal administration. Jared has overseen campus administrator and teacher professional development to ensure effective delivery of the TEKS Resource System curriculum management system. Jared oversaw the Region 12 Texas Regional Collaborative that provided over 100 hours of professional development and instructional coaching to educators. Jared served as Regional Equity Consultant with Curriculum Associates. During this time, Jared led teams in building their capacity in supporting DEIB work within school systems. Jared provided coaching, professional development, and support to the Eastern United States team as they moved towards the company-wide DEIB goals. Jared provided similar work as the Regional Math Consultant for Curriculum Associates. During his time at Trinity Episcopal School, Jared was instrumental in building the curriculum plan for middle school mathematics. He was also instrumental in diversity initiatives to move Trinity towards becoming a more inclusive school. These initiatives included a curriculum audit, an updated campus dress code, incorporating a social justice elective, and facilitating SEED groups. Jared has been a contributing author in multiple publications, including the TEA Math Academies, TEKS Resource System, ETA Daily Math Fluency, and the ESTAR & STAAR assessments. Jared is a K-12 Texas, California, and Florida certified teacher and principal. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas and his master’s degree from Texas A&M. He was named Teacher of the Year in 2012 by the Killeen Independent School District and Intern of the Year by Texas A&M. He is an active member of the Human Rights Campaign. Jared is a member of both the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and the Texas Computer Education Association.
