About Jared Dubbs

Counsellor who focuses on helping you develop the tools to deal with the issues that you're facing. My main focuses are emotional regulation, interpersonal effectiveness and distress tolerance. I work with individuals and couples dealing with anxiety, stress, anger or are just trying to figure out how to make things work better for them. I practice out of Psynamo in Central, Hong Kong. I am trained in DBT (Dialectical Behavioural Therapy) which helps you break down black or white thinking that so often holds us back and gets in our way. The key is mindfulness and giving you the power to put yourself back into control. I also am training as an ADHD coach. I have a long history of working with ADHD and desire to help people better understand and work with the issues and stresses that ADHD can present. I am a certified PEERS instructor and work with people with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). I help neurodivergent people make sense of some of the issues that are faced by being forced to fit into a world that's not built for them without masking. I have over 15 years of experience teaching all ages, kindergarten through university and the skills I have learned as a teacher serve me well in my counselling. Connecting with clients, caring about their issues, and helping them achieve their goals makes me happy.
