About Jared E. Hedman

I have a broad base of experience in patent, copyright, trademark, and trade secret litigation; commercial litigation, transactions, and managing corporate capital projects. I have represented clients in various technological areas, including gift card programs, computer processors and memory, audio players, medical and surgical devices, gaming, filtration, computer vision, telecommunications, manufacturing, security devices, athletic wear, and smartphone and PDA technology. I have drafted and reviewed numerous agreements and transactions for clients and used my experience to manage and coordinate numerous aspects of litigation. I have participated in multiple trials and arbitrations and helped to obtain favorable results for many clients, in a wide range of industries. I earned a B.S. in Engineering Technology (summa cum laude) from Northern Illinois University and a J.D.(magna cum laude) from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. My broad-based technology degree and background has enabled me to provide practical and actionable advice on complex technical matters. In addition to my law background, my earlier work corporate experience as a consultant in the food (General Foods, Kraft, General Mills, Post), beverage (Pepsi Bottlers), personal care (Helene-Curtis), and distribution industries has given me valuable perspectives on business and management issues. My Background - I began my legal career at K&E as a summer associate in 2001, became an associate in 2002, and left as a partner at the end of 2011. I was a partner at Fitch, Even, Tabin & Flannery for four years and then a senior patent litigator for Irwin IP LLC. Today, I am Counsel at Greensfelder, Hemker & Gale P.C. and part of the talented I.P. litigation group.
