About Jared Friedmann

I am a partner in Weil’s Litigation Department, where my practice focuses on high-profile commercial, intellectual property, bankruptcy, and employment disputes, including class actions. I have experience in all phases of litigation in state and federal courts around the country, as well as in arbitration proceedings. I have represented clients including Alibaba Group, Bank of America/Merrill Lynch, Exide Technologies, the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, Sears Holdings Corporation, and UnitedHealth Group. I have written and lectured on numerous topics, including the Class Action Fairness Act (CAFA), federal subpoena practice, drafting effective settlement agreements, e-discovery, and professional responsibility, including as a guest lecturer at Columbia Law School. I am the Chair of Weil’s Hiring Committee and a member of the firm’s Diversity and Pro Bono Committees. I have received numerous awards for my pro bono work which focuses on helping disadvantaged children with special needs. I also served as the co-chair of New York Lawyers for the Public Interest’s Pro Bono Advisory Council and currently serve on the Executive Board of Temple Beth Sholom in Roslyn, New York.
