About Jared Garon

Jared Garon is a Master of Human Kinetics - Sport Management graduate from the University of Windsor. Growing up in a small town outside of Windsor with a rich sporting history, and an international border away from the pinnacle of professional competition in North America, sport has been a passion of Jared’s for as long as he can remember. More specifically, the business of sport, community recreation, and its multiple facets beyond participation. By virtue of this curiosity, Jared has significant experience working in community services at the municipal government level and within semi-professional/collegiate sport organizations. These career developments have afforded Jared the opportunity to acquire skills in the fields of parks and recreation, event management, fan engagement, team operations, and social media management. Currently, Jared is the Group and Suite Experiences Manager at Canada Life Place, an OVG venue. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing the planning, sale, and execution of group experiences at the venue, including family shows, sporting events, pre-parties or concert experiences, and luxury suites. Because of this, Jared has had the opportunity to see firsthand the preparation and organization required to host 8,500+ attendees for events such as Morgan Wallen's One Night at a Time World Tour, Disney on Ice, 2023 Tim Hortons Brier, and tenant teams London Knights and London Lightning. Prior to this, Jared served as Director of Basketball Operations for the Windsor Lancers Men's Basketball team. In this role, Jared was responsible for supporting the Head Coach in the day-to-day operations of the Men’s Basketball Program and assisting with scheduling, travel, recruitment, marketing, and community appearances to meet the program’s short and long-term goals. With the Town of Essex, Jared has developed a community profile book and tour as part of the national Communities in Bloom competition, planned and assisted in the organizing of municipal festivals and events, and developed Community Services by-laws and improvement strategies for parks and sporting facilities within the Town of Essex. Jared is a highly organized, hard-working individual that has a passion for sport and is eager to apply that enthusiasm in the field of sport management. In his spare time, Jared enjoys listening to music/podcasts, going out with friends, and following his favourite sport teams. In the coming years, Jared hopes to remain working in the live event/sport industry, focusing on event planning and client relations.
