About Jared Goodnough

I'm a Mechanical Engineering Co-op graduate with a passion for the design and sustainability of equipment, parts and systems. My enthusiasm for cars has helped develop a strong mechanical aptitude. It has also fostered my mentality that ongoing improvement on existing platforms and systems is essential to their success. At Flowpoint I am utilizing my design knowledge to assist the team with providing customers intelligent bulk water dispensing and septage receiving solutions. My time at Rubicon & Top-Co established my proficiency in Solidworks and confidence in producing manufacturing and assembly drawings. Keeping a well managed & organized Product Lifecycle Management system was necessary to ensure all subsequent teams understood and had what was needed for product delivery; collaborating with other teams was central to facilitating the production process. I was able to learn and understand the steps necessary to overcome obstacles to provide customers with a leading product and on time delivery. The opportunity I had working with the mechanical team at Halliburton (Sperry Drilling) consisted of aiding in the development of models using finite element analysis to accurately predict tool operation. I was also able to utilize manual calculations and computational software to provide verification for solution methodology as well as evaluate the effects of tool design on force distribution. I am motivated to educate myself on projects I am involved in and am willing to put the time and effort into understanding the fundamentals before performing a task. I'm passionate to improve reliability and effectiveness in order to provide a quality product for consumers and users.
