About Jared Gullage

I am a teacher at Beulah High School. Currently I teach 10th and 11th grade, and most of the time I love it. I believe strongly in project-based learning and learning by doing. Consequently, I do not believe much in multiple-choice or worksheets. Every year, I make efforts to improve my curriculum, so no two years quite work the same way. I am also a writer (a poet, short-story writer, and novelist). My poetry has been published in both print and web locales. I have 3 novels out, though two of those currently are self-published. I enjoy movies, television, writing, going outside and walking about, etc. Recently I joined that strange and frightening club of men known as fatherhood. I am so blessed with my beautiful daughters (one already gone to heaven). As of this writing, my third child is coming along soon. One of my goals in life (a thing on my bucket list) is to actually teach one of my own novels) or find one of my works in a literature book somewhere. Until then, I do my best to be a writer, thinker, philosopher, outdoorsman (on the weekends), father, husband, and all the wonderful things that are intrinsically tied to these things.
