About Jared Herrick

Graduate with Bachelor's in biology. I am familiar with the laboratory environment including upkeep of equipment and cleanliness, as well as up keeping a detailed lab notebook. At Indian River State College, I frequently ran experiments in the school laboratories both for classwork and for my personal project, which I presented at both the IRSC senior symposium conference in 2019, and at the Florida Undergraduate Research Association conference in 2020. My career goals include entering the medical research field, and eventually getting my PhD, so I am searching for a job to get my foot in the door in the field. However, any science related job would help me gather experience that will steer me in the right direction for my career. The areas of research that interest me the most are molecular biology, antibiotic screening, gene editing, and bioinformatics.
