I started my career in education as a special education teacher in a behavior management program in which I worked for 16 years. Since then I have taught in an alternative disciplinary school, and I worked briefly as a behavior specialist in the special education realm before transitioning to my current position as a behavior specialist at the general education level. I have worked for multiple school districts in multiple cities for over twenty years. However, I have ventured down other career paths as well. I acquired my insurance licenses and dipped my toe into the insurance industry for a bit, and I also obtained my Series 7 and 63 licenses working as a financial representative for a large investment firm. In addition, I have also managed a small retail business in hopes of starting my own franchise, and my most recent project is the completion of book titled, Broken, which describes in detail the ongoing problems affecting our nation's current public education system.
