About Jared Karnes

A healthy obsession with technology combined with creativity, soft skills, and a drop of rad. I genuinely enjoy research and problem-solving and have developed a strong interest in threat intelligence about the groups and people attacking the world. I recently built a tiny threat intelligence engine that parses cybersecurity news articles, summarizing and value adding them with identified threat actor, alias, exploit method, CVE, TTP, etc. information. In my creative life, I'm an industry-recognized goldsmith, stone carver, ceramic glaze chemist, and educator helping other makers succeed at their craft. Outside work, I enjoy making things, mountain biking, long-distance bike camping (bike packing), hiking, and generally being outside in the trees.
