I’ve always been a talker, and while it used to get me kicked out of classrooms - I’ve finally found a line of work where keeping your mouth moving for 8 hours is a positive. I started my career in the content trenches, lobbing blogs over my head and weathering withering fire from anonymous commenters. Writing had been my bread and butter to that point, but something felt missing from the table. A few years down the line these crazy people from a company called “Salad” messaged me on Reddit - eventually offering me a double header job title: Copywriter and Community Manager. I figured I’d soldier through that second trench, ready to leave the world of direct messages behind asap. I hadn’t the foggiest idea that I would finally find my niche. Now I make connections that last, with people who’re passionate about our product. I build networks based on trust, transparency, and common interest. I get to talk to cool people all day, and Salad even pays me for it. What else could I ask for? Well, maybe another conversation to pass the time.
