About Jared Lauer

I've been an engineer since I was a little kid. Well, not literally. But I've always known that I wanted to build things, take them apart, and make them better. It started out with Lego, and eventually turned into math, science, and engineering. Solving problems is my passion, and nothing is better than that feeling of looking at a clock and wondering where the day went because I've been absorbed in a project for hours on end. Since then, I've fallen in love with programming. I switched my laptop over to Linux because I was tired of things like Netflix and Spotify "working on their own" without spending 30 minutes in the terminal learning how to manually extract a tarball. I've spent hours writing a script that saves myself 30 seconds of clicking around a website. The point is, I love to learn, and I never want to stop.
