About Jared Milnes
Graduate Structural Engineer, formerly CAD / Revit Technician, with 10 years industry experience. I spent 2 years as a trainee technician (2014-2016), developing my AutoCAD and Revit skills while predominantly working on drawings for large residential sites. I gained an HNC in civil engineering in 2018. After this my role switched to structural revit technician (2016-2022), working on larger developments, such as RC frames and steel framed warehouses. In 2022 I transitioned to graduate structural engineer; working in the residential sector. I graduated Coventry University with a BEng (Hons) civil engineering in 2022 after 3 years of day release study. As part of efforts to make the industry more sustainable, I spent 3 weeks in the Philippines (2022) to carry out research and testing on bamboo as a construction material. Outside of work, I have a passion for flying. I flew solo for the first time (2024) as part of the recreational pilot certificate in Australia.
