About Jared Nance

I was born and raised in Music City and was honored to attend Hume-Fogg Academic High School. I then went on to attend UT-Knoxville earning a degree in Psychology with a minor in Spanish. I spent 4 memorable months during my senior year in Spain honing my Spanish language skills. I was hired on as a Bilingual Claims Specialist with SSA in 2008. The opportunity in 2010 for me to serve as Congressional Liaison where over the course of 11+ years I composed over 600 written responses with public relations implications to Congressional offices. In 2014, I began to serve as both Third-Party Liaison as well as Lead Trainer for the office. Over the next 7 years, I composed and conducted numerous training sessions as well as workflows, both internal and external. I am passionate about training, and helping the team have the most tools and information possible to succeed. I also independently communicated with multiple external representatives to resolve issues as they arose. In February 2022, my family and I made the difficult decision to leave SSA and move to Panama City Beach, Florida. In May 2022, I earned the rigorous Project Management Professional certification, demonstrating over 3 years of project leadership. In October 2022, I chose to return to SSA in the Houston area, and was promoted to Technical Expert in August 2023. I am so appreciative of my wife and children supporting me along the journey.
