Registered Applicant (RA) Having devoted nine years to serving as a Peer Support Specialist, I've spent the past four years at McKinley Hall, a distinguished nonprofit substance abuse treatment center in Clark County. My journey here has encompassed a diverse array of roles, primarily providing invaluable peer support services and dedicated advocacy for Project DAWN—an initiative focused on community overdose education and Naloxone distribution. My involvement extends beyond McKinley Hall; I actively contribute to the One2One Syringe Exchange program at the Springfield Soup Kitchen, focusing on bloodborne pathogen prevention. Within McKinley Hall, I've been an integral part of the Overdose Quick Response Team, while also playing an active role in both the Springfield Substance Abuse Prevention, Treatment, and Supports Coalition and the Springfield Grow Blitz Team. Through these engagements, I've worked tirelessly to expand recovery outreach and resources within our community. With a solid foundation—a three-year peer recovery support supervisory certification—I currently serve as the Coordinator, training aspiring peer recovery support specialists at Clark State College. Simultaneously, I'm committed to advancing my education, pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Addiction and Recovery and Integrated Studies.
