About Jared Redick

With over a decade of experience as an educator, artistic leader, and administrator, I’ve dedicated my career to nurturing the next generation of dancers—onstage, in the studio, and now, behind the mic. As Assistant Dean of Dance (and former Interim Dean) at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, I’ve led with a focus on excellence, innovation, and equity. During my interim tenure, I managed a $4.2M annual budget, spearheaded record-breaking fundraising efforts—including a $2M transformational bequest—and programmed performance seasons that reached over households through groundbreaking cross-disciplinary collaborations. Beyond academia, I’ve served as a guest teacher, coach, and rehearsal director for leading ballet companies across the U.S. and Europe, and contributed internationally as a juror for the Prix de Lausanne and Youth America Grand Prix. I’m also the creator and host of Company Secrets: Ballet Unfiltered, a podcast featuring candid conversations with artistic directors from around the world. Designed to pull back the curtain on professional ballet, the show offers aspiring dancers and their families practical insights into auditions, company culture, and artistic leadership.
