About Jared Wright
I am currently a masters student in Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University Indianapolis. My goal is to have a career focused on developing and improving technologies that align with the goal of increasing efficiency, reducing carbon emissions, and promoting cleaner and smarter energy practices. My skills and interests are in the area of energy systems, power generation, conversion, transmission, and energy storage in both electrical and thermal-fluid applications. Specifically, my interests are in advanced alternative energy technologies such as solar, wind, batteries, fuel cells, smart grids, and energy optimization. My current role as the Lead of the Industrial Assessment Center is helping me pursue this passion. I have gained valuable experience in energy efficiency, energy/demand management, systems engineering, and have had great exposure to various types of manufacturing and utilities.
